Since I have been out of work, I have been in the process of getting rid of all the comics left over from when I had my comic book store. I have been saving anything over $10, and donating the rest to the local land fill.
A friend of mine has pointed out to me that some others may want these comics for themselves, so this is your last chance to grab these. After this month, I will toss the rest of the collection.
So, here's the deal. Make a list of cheap comics that you've always wanted but never got for one reason or other, such as:
That DC run of Star Trek
That gap in your Batman collection
That 5th printing of Lenore
Or maybe those New Universe books everyone loves so much *snicker*

E-mail or Private Message that list over to me. If I have them, I will put them aside for you, and I will give them to you. That's right, give them. For free. You can have them, I don't want them.

Here are some things to keep in mind though.

1) Most of the stock is from when I managed or owned a comic book store. That was in the years 96 - 98. The other stuff will be stuff from when I was collecting. In other words, don't ask for anything that came out after Dec. 98. I won't have it.

2) The comics are not in order, nor are they cataloged. I started to do this, but realized that I would not make nearly enough money on the collection to warrant the massive time and effort it would take to do this with 76 long boxes. In other words, don't ask me for a list, there isn't one.

3) This stuff has been sitting in my basement for 5 years. A basement that has flooded a couple of times. In other words, don't assume everything will be mint. Hey, your getting it for free, what do you want?

4) Any of you that can't meet me personally will have to pay for the shipping. Hey, you're getting the comics for free, don't bitch.

So, send me your lists. If I have it, it's yours.

And for those interested, I still have all the comics and merchandise acquired during my short stint as comics proprietor. I think the time would be from late '99 to late '00 or very early '01. Merchandise includes Dragonball scrolls, Pokemon interlocking banks, stickers, an SIP magnet set, tattoos, figures, a couple Neil Gaiman autographed something-or-others...just a whole bunch of stuff, most of it gathering dust in the shed in the backyard. I imagine the condition is very good for the bulk of it. I can't beat Rich's free deal, but I'd be willing to work something out. PM me with anything you'd be interested in that I might have.

Wink

Helllllooooooooo,
As a part time comic dealer/collector/charity type guy I am interested in anything left over from both you guys.
Working 28 on 28 off means for six months of the year I can bugger about with comic books.
I do not have a shop, I just work from home, mainly E-bay, school and College Kids.
Anything that is half decent and can be sold to young kids usually gets nabbed by my sister who runs the charity drives for the local school. (I picked up a case of Chastity Lunchboxes and a case of Jingle Belle, Thought "Hell, I can make money on these" One week later they had vanished into the back of my sisters car and all I made was a kiss on the cheek...I kept two of each that where already listed on E-bay)
I have a USA ship-to address in Houston and it doesn't cost me to ship to the UK so size/weight is no worry.
I can pay by Paypal or I am in the US the end of September (Florida Baby YEAH) and can send cash when in country.
Let me know what you think.
My user name on E-Bay is Gawdalive, check it out.
Laters Y'all
